These three Landrace pigs pictured on Mr Tom Mitchell's property at Bushmere were imported from Ngaruawahia and are the first of their kind in the district.

The 1961 Auckland Racing Cup which was won by Mr Donald J. Wilkie's "Ruato" was part of a display at the Edmund Campion College gala day last year.

Also exhibited at the gala was this silver tea service which was presented to Sir James and Lady Carroll in 1912 by the people Gisborne for Sir James' service to the people during his 20 years in parliament.

The medal display included the late Lady Arihia Ngata's M.B.E. (left), Mr H. Te Kani Te Ua's O.B.E. (top centre), the late Lt. Te Moana-nui-a-kiwa Ngarimu's V.C. (bottom centre), and the late Sir James Carroll's K.C.M.G.

Her Majesty's submarine Trump outward bound from Gisborne after spending four days in port. Judging by the number of compliments the crew of the submarine gave the people of Gisborne it would appear that they thoroughly enjoyed their stay here and would like to return in the not too distant future.
