RUGBY INTERNATIONAL
Gisborne Boy's High 1st XV played against a strong Parana Estudiantes team from one of the richer provinces in Argentina, 500km up river from Beunos Aires, The sporting facilities of this Sports Club, with at least a 150yr history (rugby for only 60yrs), are fantastic in comparison to those in NZ. The 1993 tour saw Boys High draw their game in Parana. This return match against a defensive team with a very good kicker. The score GBH (converted try) 7, Parana Estudiantes (2 penalties) 6. A win for the new Gisborne Boy's High 1st XV that has only 3 players from last years team.
