At the Wharf

Port of Gisborne has extended the existing marina adding 4 new berths to the 12 currently in use. This completes a module of the inner harbour development. Power & water is available to each berth making life easier for harbour users. Future development will include new marina modules & the possibility of a boat ramp.

Local fisherman Allan Balfour (leaning on the newly placed pile) kept his eye on things.

The pipe casing on the pile frame clearly shows the depth of mud sitting on the papa base rock. Wayne Tautau monitors the position of the casing before they drill a 3 metre hole into the rock.
