Visit by ABE WILLIAMS

Former Springbok assistant manager, Abe Williams visited Gisborne to renew old friendships in an area which holds a special place in his heart. Along with wife Esme, Abe is out to support the Springboks, to build on the relationships between the two countries and to re-establish rugby ties. The Minister of Welfare and Population Development in President Mandela's Government was given a traditional maori welcome at the airport.
