Makarori Beach Races

×

Racing... & It's sand flying off to a fine start. Light winds & signs of settling in dampness added to the atmosphere as a race starts at the 1st meeting of the Makarori Beach Races for '94. The course is uncomplicated but will tax the skills of the team of man & machine. With a series of races accumulating points for the championship it was a case of going as fast as possible around the 2 corners & as fast as possible down the 2 long straights. The Gisborne Motorcycle Sports Club run the races at low tide which allows couple of hours of racing for a variety of seniors & Juniors on fast bikes, trikes & 4 wheelers.

A team works as one as long there is communication. Phillip Law has the brake on as brother Sidney gives his all to get the motor running, out onto the startline.
