Once More A Guide Province
On April 30, Gisborne became the eighteenth Guide Province in New Zealand. The occasion was marked by a visit from Mrs W. G. Turnbull, N.Z. Chief Commissioner of Girl Guides.
Part of the large crowd at the public reception in the Guide Hall. Among the crowd were ex-Guides, ex-Guide Commissioners, representatives of the Guides, Girls' and Boys Brigades and the Scouts.
Mr M. Lynch, deputy-Mayor, welcomed the visitors to the city.
