Croquet Clubs

19yr-old Allan Anderson of Barry Memorial with his trophies won at the Wellington Croquet Tournament. He won the Championship Doubles, Handicap Doubles, Level Singles, Handicap Singles and Open Championship Singles. Allan has been playing for three seasons and has a handicap of five. He beat the former captain of the 1963 Test Team (H. Ford) who has a handicap of minus 2½. Another outstanding player of Barry Memorial is 15yr-old Richard Clarke. Richard did extremely well in the South Island championships.

During the play of the Open Championship Singles he is pictured with Mrs R. Clarke, Mr D. Curtis, his opponent and present holder of the S.I. Open and Men's Open, also runner-up in Dominion Open, Mrs B. Jarden, S.I. Women's Open, and Mr K. Woollett, one of the top ten players in N.Z.
