L.D.S. Chapel Opened
The magnificent new second Gisborne chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was officially opened last month with an impressive, well-attended ceremony.
Built in just under a year, the building contains worshipping, cultural, schooling, and administrative facilities in its area of approximately 15,500 square feet.
Constructed from concrete blocks, it was built mainly by local labour under the supervision of Mr John H. Purser, an experienced American builder.
